Replacing the adapter and blade seemed to be a good idea, so I went to our nearby Sears Essentials to get new ones, but they were out. If overtorqued, the bolt is under more stress than it was designed for. Torque to about 35 ft lbs, and the reverse threads will tighten it if more if needed.
